on june 5th, 2023, Spotify announced it would be canceling six shows, laying off 200 employees, and merging what remained of Gimlet and Parcast under the banner Spotify Studios. internally, it was framed as a simple restructuring. for us as media workers, it was a sudden, shocking blow.the people you'll find listed here are some of the smartest, kindest, most talented podcasters you’ll ever meet. some of us are still reeling, some are taking a breather, and some are working out our new laptops/kits/ProTools licenses... so keep an eye on this list as new folks are added (and if you're a former gimleteer who would like to be added to this list, contact hannah)!please don't hesitate to reach out to them for current or future projects.
